I have done it! For some time I have been thinking time that I wanted to have my own domain for blog that I have been doing for over a decade. Granted I have not migrated the past posts to here yet, but will be doing so shortly. There are thirteen years’ worth of past posts to go through and migrate over to here. It will be interesting to see what has been made, used, or gifted in that time. I’m sure that this endeavor will bring back many memories.
To add to those memories, I have started a new project. My husband’s mother is getting married in December and while visiting with her I asked if she would like a shawl to wear on her wedding day. She said that she would like that. I had yarn with me that matched the jewelry that she has picked out to wear that day. I found a pattern that she liked, and I have cast on. Now just to memorize the pattern so that I get it knitted, blocked, and mailed to her to make sure it will work with her outfit before the big day.
I have completed the knitting on a Wallaby which has been on the needles for three years. I now need to kitchener stitch the hood and underarms, then weave in all the ends. The person this is intended for was able to try it on and it fits perfectly. Thank goodness. He should be able to be wearing this before Christmas. This will be one more UFO off the needles and out of the house.
Being the passenger in the car has given me time to get some knitting done. Besides the aforementioned Wallaby and wedding shawl, I have also been able to work on a Faded Frenzy (Ravelry link) which I am modifying to make 3/4 sleeve. Although, I might have to put this on hold until after the wedding shawl is complete. I also have in the car for passenger knitting a pair of vanilla socks. These will more than likely remain in the UFO pile for a while longer as I want to complete the Faded Frenzy before the Winter season is totally upon us.
Make it a great knitting day!
